Hours after a 19-point, nine-rebound performance, 76ers Jahlil Okafor allegedly knocks out a man in a Boston street fight.
All that losing apparently has 76ers rookie Jahlil Okafor in a fighting mood.
Hours after Philadelphia fell to the Celtics for an NBA record-tying 26th consecutive defeat Wednesday night, Okafor brawled with two men – knocking one of them out – in a Boston streetfight, according to video obtained by TMZ Sports.
The 37-second clip begins with the 19-year-old Okafor yelling “We got money, you broke-ass n—-. We got money” at a group that allegedly taunted him as he exited the Boston Storyville nightclub with an unidentified Sixers teammate.
“The 76ers suck” was reportedly the insult that the set him off.
Okafor responded by slamming one of his alleged taunters into a car, then decking another one with a right hook while holding back a second man who throws a punch at the 6-11 center from behind.
TMZ spoke to a representative of Okafor, who claimed that the third overall pick of the 2015 NBA draft felt threatened by the group of hecklers. Neither the 76ers or the league have commented on the incident.
Everyone involved in the fight reportedly left the scene before police arrived and no arrests were made.
