Ben McAdoo will have lofty expectations in his first season as head coach.

Ben McAdoo will make his NFL coaching debut on Aug. 12 against the Miami Dolphins in the first of the Giants’ all-AFC East slate of four preseason games.

The schedule, announced on Thursday, features the Giants’ annual games against the Jets (Saturday, Aug. 27) and the Patriots (Thursday, Sept. 1), both of which will be held at the Meadowlands. The opener against the Dolphins will pit McAdoo against another rookie NFL coach, Miami’s Adam Gase. And in Week 2, the Giants will make their loan preseason road trip to face Rex Ryan and the Buffalo Bills (between Aug. 18 and 21, date to be determined).

The Giants played all four of those teams in the regular season last year, going 2-2. They won at Miami (31-24) and at Buffalo (24-10), but lost at home to both the Patriots (27-26) and the Jets (23-20).

Here’s the full schedule:

Week 1: vs. Miami Dolphins (Friday, Aug. 12)

Week 2: at Buffalo (Aug. 18-21, date TBD)

Week 3: at Jets (Saturday, Aug. 27)

Week 4: vs. Patriots (Thursday, Sept. 1)
